With Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, we thought we should celebrate with a margarita. What’s better than a margarita on a warm sunny day? A lavender margarita, of course! It’s pretty and perfect, and the recipe chosen from the Cooking Channel is SO simple! This cocktail reminds us of summer! Anyone that knows us knows that summer season is our fav. We even designed The Gatsby Collection with our summer brides in mind. Our mint rompers and robes have the tiniest hint of lavender, and we just adore them. You know what? The Lavender Margarita
2 oz. silver tequila
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1 oz. lavender simple syrup
In a shaker, combine 2 oz. silver tequila, 1/2 oz. Cointreau, 1 oz. simple syrup and the juice of half a lime and let sit.
On a plate, mix the sugar and dried lavender and use it to rim the outside of a rocks glass.
Fill the glass with ice. Shake and strain the contents of the strainer into the glass. And of course, garnish with fresh lavender.
