Following their love for adventure, and Joe being a surf artist, the natural fit for their venue was The Stateroom in Long Beach Island, NJ with catering from Taste Catering LLC.

We’re all about the flower inspo (look at those Pineapples in the centerpiece, how cute?). Heather says, “Flower inspiration came from Pinterest and local floral designers. I loved white lilies, but opted not to have them due to how fast they ding and brown/how fragile they are. I knew I wanted Eucalyptus leaves in everything! Along with garden roses and succulents. I also wanted movement in the bouquets, not a tight round ball of flowers.” Petal Pushers in Hamilton, NJ captured all the details for the couple.

For the cake, it was a simple decision. Heather and Joe headed to Carlo’s Bakery, and the Cake Boss Crew in Hoboken, New Jersey got to work. Heather says, “Joe doesn’t like fondant, so it was a simple decision to do all buttercream. We loved the irregular textured look and had our florist add flowers/succulents.”

The extra special details came from handmade signs created by Joe’s brother, Mike, and his wife, Kait.
